There are so many different feet for different sewing applications. Play around with the feet that come with your sewing machine. You might have some or all of these mentioned below. You need to get familiar with these attachments. Sometimes, we may want to use one (1) presser foot for everything, but different feet are made for different functions; therefore, using the same one could make whatever function you need, harder. There is no need to work soooooooooooooo hard to make a beautiful garment, etc. We want to let the sewing machine do most of the work. Some feet have grooves underneath and others have attachments, all, in order to make some function easier and more beautiful. Below are some of the feet you might use in your sewing adventures. As you go through this list, check to see if your machine has any of these.

As you sew, the edge of the fabric hits the foot's guide and stitches are created around the metal pin in alignment with the guide. The stitches and the fabric are kept flat. (Without this foot, heavier material will have to be sewn approximately 1/2" away from the edge, then cut.) Use Rayon embroidery thread.

A magnetic seam guage can be used on any position to the right or left of the presser foot. Search Amazon.com for seam guage
- Sequins and Ribbon foot: Strung sequins have to be fed through the opening in the foot, then, the sequins or ribbons are attached with a zig zag stitch.
